Compassionate Dog Training, Tailored to Every Journey

Kind, reward-based services designed around your dog's individual needs.

services

As I take the first steps in growing my business, I am intentionally offering just two specific services. Keeping things simple means I can give your dog my full, undivided attention and work at a pace that feels completely safe and comfortable for everyone.

1-2-1 Traning Lessons

Starting from scratch or brushing up on the basics doesn’t need to be stressful. These private, one-on-one sessions are designed to be a calm, supportive space for both you and your dog to learn together. We will work entirely at your dog’s pace to build confidence and help them understand the basics of navigating our human world.

  • Great for: Gentle introductions to foundation behaviours, loose-lead walking, focus games, and building up confidence in quiet environments.
  • What to expect: A relaxed, judgment-free environment where we focus on small, positive steps. After our session, I’ll send you a simple, easy-to-follow summary plan so you can practice at home without feeling overwhelmed.

Specialized Dog Walks

Not every dog thrives in a busy group walk, and that is completely okay. If your dog needs a little extra time, space, or understanding, I offer dedicated individual walks. Your dog will have my full, undivided attention, ensuring they feel safe, secure, and happy the entire time they are with me.

  • Perfect for:
    • Rescue dogs: who are still finding their feet and need a predictable, patient routine.
    • Reactive dogs: who need an observant handler to help navigate the world at a safe distance from their triggers.
    • Dogs that need to stay on a lead: but still deserve a fulfilling, sniff-rich, and enriching break in their day.
  • What to expect: A calm, tailored walk where your dog’s emotional well-being is the top priority. I focus on keeping things low-stress, letting them sniff, explore, and enjoy their time safely.

POP-IN VISITS AND OVERNIGHT STAY PET SITTING (Multi-Species Care)

Whether you are away for the day or going on holiday, I offer dedicated pop-in visits to care for your pets in the comfort and safety of their own home. Thanks to my extensive background caring for a wide variety of species, I am happy to look after dogs, cats, small furries, birds, or reptiles.

  • Great for: Pets who prefer to stay in their familiar routines, older animals who just need a quiet check-in, or multi-pet households.
  • What we provide: Depending on your pet’s needs, visits can include fresh food and water, cleaning enclosures or litter trays, administering medication, or simply providing calm company, play, and attention.
  • What to expect: A reliable, welfare-first check-in tailored entirely to your specific care routines. I will always send you a quick update after my visit so you can have complete peace of mind while you are away.

Every dog deserves to be understood.
Let's start the journey together.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

My dog has some behavioural challenges. Are you going to judge me?

Absolutely not. Living with a dog who is reactive, anxious, or struggling to adapt can be overwhelming and isolating. Having a reactive rescue myself I completely understand. My goal is to support. We will work as a team at a pace that feels safe for you and your companion.

Yes. I hold an MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare and am currently completing my formal accreditation course with PACT. For your complete peace of mind, I hold full pet business insurance with Protectivity and am certified in Canine First Aid.

To keep things as low-stress and successful as possible, lessons typically take place in the comfort of your own home or a quiet, familiar outdoor space where your dog already feels safe and relaxed.

Your dog’s emotional well-being is my top priority. If your dog shows signs of stress or becomes overwhelmed, we will immediately pause, adjust the environment, or change our approach. We listen to what the dog is telling us and never force them through a situation.

No, all specialized 1-2-1 walks are kept safely on-lead, either short or long according to what is suitable for the situation. This allows me to give your dog my full, undivided attention, carefully manage their space from potential triggers, and ensure their absolute safety at all times.

No. I only offer individual, one-on-one walks. This service is specifically designed for rescue dogs, reactive dogs, or companions who find group environments overwhelming and need a calm, dedicated handler all to themselves.

I am based in Cupar and primarily cover the local area. If you are unsure whether you fall into my catchment area, please feel free to drop me a message!

While I completely understand how stressful these challenges can be, these specific issues fall outside of my professional remit as an Animal Training Instructor. All individual practitioners are required to work within their professional competence. Because I hold myself to the highest ethical standards, any cases that are beyond the scope of my role must be referred on responsibly. If your dog is struggling with severe behavioural issues, I am more than happy to point you in the right direction and help you find a fully qualified Clinical Animal Behaviourist who has the specialized clinical expertise to support you safely.

Training and behaviour are closely linked, and sometimes deeper emotional struggles only become apparent once we start working together. As a dedicated professional, I am required to recognise my own limitations and either seek qualified professional advice or refer you to another competent practitioner if needed. If your dog’s needs develop beyond the scope of my current standard, I will always be completely honest with you and ensure you are referred responsibly so your dog gets exactly the right level of support.
